Dongguan can provide a varying and rich experience for the adventerous diner. One of the undiscovered cities of China food wise, “foodies” can revel in the differing and sometimes exotic foods that are availaibe.
Once one gets away from what I call the “big boss” dining experience, the private room at the expensive Chinese restaurant with factory boss that seems to want to order everything under the sun, a great experience awaits,
From the cuisines of the different provinces of China, Hunan, Yunan, Sichuan, Xinjiang and of course Cantonese, to other Asian countires such as Thai, Vietnamese, Singaporean and others, to some good examples of Brazilian, Spanish, Italian and even British pub grub. All await to tantalze the pallete.
So, no need to be afraid of not finding suitable food, the problem for the traveler to Dongugan isn’t “where to eat” but “where to eat first” and the danger of outgrowing one’s clothes during the trip!
